The future tense describes actions that will happen later. All three verb groups use the same endings. Like the condicional, it adds those endings directly to the infinitive, or to an irregular future stem. Use it for:
- Actions that will happen in the future
- Probability or conjecture in the present
- Promises and predictions
- Wondering about current situations
- Polite requests

Common Stem Changes
The following verbs (and their compounds) have irregular stems in the future:
- salir → saldr-
- venir → vendr-
- valer → valdr-
- haber → habr-
- saber → sabr-
- caber → cabr-
- querer → querr-
In everyday speech, ir a + infinitive is often more common for a planned future: Mañana voy a salir. The simple future also expresses prediction or probability: Ya llegará; ¿Dónde estará?
