Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
By accessing and using Practy, including the web and mobile applications and browser extension, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement.
Age Requirements
You must be at least 13 years old to use Practy. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian to use the service and make purchases. By using Practy, you represent that you meet these age requirements.
Acceptable Use
Permission is granted to use Practy for personal, non-commercial language learning purposes. This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions.
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal purposes
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the service
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
- Upload or transmit viruses or malicious code
- Engage in any activity that could harm other users
User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify Practy immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Subscriptions and Payments
Paid subscriptions are subject to the pricing and payment terms presented at the time of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date.
Free Trials: Free trials are 7 days in duration and limited to one per user. Trials require a payment method and will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial period ends. Users who have previously used a free trial are not eligible for additional trials, even with different accounts or payment methods.
Refunds: Refunds are subject to the refund policies of the respective payment platform (Stripe for web subscriptions, Apple App Store for iOS subscriptions). Generally, subscriptions are non-refundable except as required by law. Refund requests should be directed to the payment platform through which the subscription was purchased.
Apple App Store:
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings
- Apple Inc. is not responsible for Practy's services or content
Google Play Store:
- Payment will be charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Google Play Account Settings
- Google LLC is not responsible for Practy's services or content
Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of Practy are owned by Practy and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Exercise data, including vocabulary lists, audio files, and instructional content, may not be extracted, copied, or redistributed without permission.
Browser Extension
The Practy browser extension enhances third-party websites with interactive subtitles, translations, annotations, and word highlighting for language learning purposes. The extension modifies the appearance of these websites in your browser to provide these features. Practy does not own or control the content on these third-party websites. You are responsible for complying with the terms of service of any third-party website you use in conjunction with the extension. The extension does not grant you any rights to third-party content.
Auto-generated subtitles and translations provided by the extension are produced by automated systems and may contain errors. Practy does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of generated content.
Third-Party Content and Services
Practy integrates content and services from third-party providers. Practy does not control third-party content and is not responsible for its accuracy, availability, or quality. Third-party content may be subject to separate terms and licenses.
Content Accuracy and Disclaimers
While we strive for accuracy, content may contain errors. Users are encouraged to report errors through the feedback system to help improve content quality. Practy does not guarantee specific learning outcomes, language proficiency levels, or examination success. Learning results vary based on individual effort and other factors beyond our control.
Copyright Infringement Claims
Practy provides educational content for language learning purposes, which may constitute fair use under copyright law. If you believe content infringes your copyright, contact us through the feedback form with a description of the work, its location on Practy, and your contact information. We will evaluate all claims in accordance with applicable law.
Disclaimers and Limitations
Practy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Practy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the service.
Data and Privacy
Your use of Practy is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.
Modifications to Service
Practy reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time without notice. We may also modify these Terms of Service, and continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of modified terms. Termination
Practy may terminate or suspend your account and access to the service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, Practy, or third parties.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Practy shall be resolved in the courts of California.
