Actually master verb conjugations

Recognizing forms in a chart isn't the same as producing them yourself. Narrow down the drill to what you most need to study.

Type the correct form

Practice recall instead of passively reading tables, so the form is there when you need to speak or write.

Filter the exact drill

Choose tenses, pronouns, verbs, or verb types to focus on the patterns that still need work.

Customize the exercise display

Toggle on/off display options for Arabic, including translations, example sentences, transliterations, and Tashkeel, so each drill shows the information you want.

Track what improves

Use performance feedback to keep reviewing the forms that are not automatic yet.

What makes Arabic conjugation hard?

Arabic conjugation is built from roots and verb forms. The same root can appear in patterns such as Form I, Form II, and Form III, and each pattern changes the meaning as well as the conjugation.

Arabic also marks person, gender, number, mood, and voice. Present indicative, subjunctive, and jussive forms can look very similar, so practicing them side by side helps learners notice the endings.

Arabic conjugation patterns

Use the indicative present for ongoing actions, habits, and general statements.

Form I strong verbs

in Present indicative active tense

Example: كَتَبَ

أنا أكتب

أنتَ تكتب

أنتِ تكتبين

هو يكتب

هي تكتب

نحن نكتب

هم يكتبون

هن يكتبن

Form II verbs

in Present indicative active tense

Example: دَرَّسَ

أنا أدرّس

أنتَ تدرّس

أنتِ تدرّسين

هو يدرّس

هي تدرّس

نحن ندرّس

هم يدرّسون

هن يدرّسن

Form III verbs

in Present indicative active tense

Example: شَاهَدَ

أنا أشاهد

أنتَ تشاهد

أنتِ تشاهدين

هو يشاهد

هي تشاهد

نحن نشاهد

هم يشاهدون

هن يشاهدن
