Condicional Perfecto - Conditional Perfect

The condicional perfecto expresses hypothetical actions that would have happened in the past. It's formed using the conditional tense of haber + past participle. The past participle is formed by removing -ar/-er/-ir and adding -ado (for -ar verbs) or -ido (for -er/-ir verbs). It is used for:

  • Hypothetical situations in the past
  • Expressing regret about past actions
  • What "would have" happened
  • Reported speech in the past
  • Past probability or conjecture
  • Polite requests about past events
