je - I

Je is the French first-person singular pronoun. Je becomes j' before words starting with a vowel or silent h (j'aime, j'habite). Je suis (I am) can often sound like "chui" in spoken French. With reflexive verbs, je adds me/m' before the verb (je me lave, je m'habille).
