ils/elles - they

These pronouns share identical conjugation patterns in all tenses. Ils refers to any group containing at least one male or masculine noun, while elles is used exclusively for all-female groups or feminine nouns. With reflexive verbs, add se/s' before the verb (ils se lavent, elles s'habillent). The -ent ending is always silent in present tense.
